This is a great book! Although written long ago, the information and lessons contained in it are priceless.
The author Samuel Smiles lived the prime of his life in the late 1800's. His writings are very relevant to the present day however, as some of the lessons and values outlined are timeless in nature. Great men and women throughout history have many similar characteristics.
This book truly inspires a person to be "better" and gives a clear roadmap to just what that goal is. It has instantly become one of my favorites. I have highlighted so much of it, and any reader will no doubt want to remember many of the quotes contained.
