Building up the Family is a collection of several lessons taught by the author on different occasions. Recognizing the necessity of making such teachings accessible to all those who were interested, Carlos took on the task of putting his teachings in writing and that is how this book came about. Besides being complete in itself for those who would like to read it and prepare themselves by the experience, it is also the textbook of a course imparted at the church.

Al reconocer la necesidad de poner tal enseñanza al alcance de todos los interesados, Carlos Velásquez se dio a la tarea de poner por escrito sus enseñanzas y fue así como surgió este libro, que además de ser completo en sí para aquellos que quieran leerlo por sí solos y equiparse con la experiencia, es también el texto para el curso que se imparte. Con la intención de facilitar su uso y enseñanza, se ha escrito un libro de trabajo para el alumno y un libro del maestro, con las notas adicionales del autor.
