Dennis E. "Doc" Hensley is an author, speaker, and consultant. He holds four degrees in communications, including a PhD in English, and he has been Director of Taylor University's Department of Professional Writing since he created it in 1997.

He is the author of more than 50 published books including novels, and textbooks on topics such as time management, motivation, Christian doctrine, and public relations. In addition, 150 short stories and 3,000 magazine and newspaper articles of Doc's have been published in Reader's Digest, Parade Magazine, USA Today, Vital Christianity, and many other publications.
